Shaftoe Educational Foundation
The Foundation provides grants to promote the education, including social and physical training, of residents or the children of residents in the Haydon Parish. This means that:
Further or Higher Education
Students undertaking further or higher education academic courses can apply for a support grant for ALL years of their course.
Vocational skills/ Apprenticeships
Students taking vocational courses or apprenticeships can apply for a support grant and/or a contribution to the costs of their tools.

Once completed please return to The Clerk either by email or post as detailed in our Contact us page.
The Trustees meet 3 times a year to consider grant applications, normally on the 2nd Thursday of March, July and November. All grants are made at the discretion of the Trustees.
Grants, if/when approved, will only be awarded with proof of confirmation of your place at your chosen university/college when you have met their entry requirements. If you already have confirmation, please attach and send with your application form.
